Because they are one of the only Tuners that offer a warranty. That can mean it's worth the drive for some people..

EDIT: Or what tab said

Guys, KPM have a deal with Active Automotive in Canning Vale to fit gear and tune the car.

Active are well known to Expensive Daewoo guys, dunno bout Ford people though. The Ford dealer they use for servicing and warranty is Titan Ford in Melville.

I've asked a few questions regarding the KPM warrenty Ts and Cs and we'll see how we go.

I'm aware of XFT but thought I'd look into this option.

Im pretty sure KPM has gone national now, with authorised retailers in all states. They also cover frods warranty when ford dont because of the modifications. Allot of the stuff they sell was developed by herrod motorsport, exhausts, lowering kits etc. I think there are even ford dealerships out there that will fit their stuff for you. Dont quote me on all of this, as it's not from the horses mouth. But I'm pretty sure.

Good luck with your plans Boganspeed. Please keep us all up to date with how you go and any loopholes that are in the warranty. I'm looking at lowering and stage 1 tuning from KPM myself.

That is pretty much the size of it.

The only thing I've seen that I don't like is that any kind of motorsport will void the warranty straight out.

But at least it's clear.

The only thing I could find in Ford's warranty was mention of using the vehicle for purpose other than it was intended for would void warranty.

So no trips to the strip then.

Really, all I will get is Stage 1 tune which an X3 thingo, tune and filter for a claimed 350 flywheel kw's.

So as long as I have confidence in Active Auto's ability to tune a falcon, then the warranty conditions are the only concern.

Yeah but if I take my stock car to the drags and break something it's still covered.

My apologies, the shop that does the work for KPM here is Pro Auto in Canning Vale not Active Auto.

Pro Auto are also well known to the Commie guys.

The main restriction is that currently the only dealer doing servicing that will maintain the KPM warranty is Titan Ford as well as Pro Auto's.

They are working on expanding that list though.

But I assume Titan have a mobile guy who can come and service my car at work so the only time it would have to go to the workshop is if there's warranty work to be done.

I'm thinking I might give it a run and see how it all goes. it'll be expensive and hopefully I'll never have an issue with a claim but the comfort of having protection for the next three years is worth some money.

Sorry mate but that front look retarded.

Didnt you crack down on me for similar unnecessary comments?

Yeah but if I take my stock car to the drags and break something it's still covered.

Is it really?

Absolutely not.

Not if its proven the car has been abused (which drag racing clearly is) as warranty only covers failures under normal driving conditions.
