Its not only the pipe diameter, its the design quality and flow rate of the mufflers. Have a look at the system underneath a 6.3 litre AMG Merc. The better versions are rated at 380KW at the engine. The mufflers are huge and yet the cars are Euro 4 noise compliant. (And that is pretty quiet)

A single 90MM exhaust will support 530HP at the wheels - ( Hi Mount and external gate setup) and that was witnessed. It was pretty noisy, but that is how the owner wanted it. So, 400RWKW on twin 63 pipes with the 100 dump and a good cat seems about right to me.

No knowledge on the Xforce quad system. Never seen one on the dyno.

I have a complete xforce system. 3 1/2" dump with separate 1/2" wastegate pipe, 3 1/2" cat and twin 2 1/2 cat back making 411rwkw on e85. Sounds amazing and goes hard, but I'm looking to upgrade to a single 3 1/2 cat back.

I'm at 422 on e85 with a twin 2.5 x-force.

Got a muffler on the blink and given both are original are therefore 17 years old, I'm thinking a new cat back system will be most cost-effective.  Anyone had any experience with the Xforce S-series 2.5" system (dual pipe running side by side to twin tip, not the quad system)?  For a bolt in factory replacement and for about $500 it is looking good to me.

 

Keen for a slightly meatier sound than stock without getting drony or scaring the neighbours' kids.

Yeh ok, insert fartingthruastraw.jpeg but it's pretty quiet on idle, no droning whatsoever and wasn't the restriction for more power anyway, that was the fuel system

Their dump pipes are sh*t quality IMO, but for catback can't go wrong with your application

Thanks for that! Sounds perfect for what I want. I had the EL pretty loud which was fun for a few weeks but just got annoying after that. Kept setting off car alarms at my work, and the wife kept getting "heaps sick miss" comments from her students at school.

 

I've done the cat already so exhaust should be sorted then to cover me now, plus any future plans.

Ended up $399 delivered to my door in less than 48 hours. Will now be 48 weeks until I find the time to fit it.
