Sometimes I'm driving, other times sitting still, door closed door open doesn't seem to matter. I don't notice any door open light on that dash when this happens or the center light coming on (but ill keep an eye out for it). Some other info:- I dont think its the common worm gear issue since all the doors lock and unlock perfectly every time I lock or unlock the car. When this started happening I got paranoid so yes I have been checking I will listen for any noises in the lock next time I get a chance.- No horn noise or indication the security system is going crazy- I read something about a microswitch possibly failing in the drivers door, might need to investigate that.Any suggestions? It's the sort of issue that doesnt happen every time I drive it so I could see it being tricky for a dealer/auto electrician unless its registering some sort of fault code. Search/google didnt help too much. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/78391-bf-mk2-doors-locking-and-unlocking-themselves/ Share on other sites

I stuffed around pulling off door trims and mucking around with door actuators but eventually gave up and dropped it into ford. They ended up finding a problem with a loom connector in the passenger side kick panel.....they charged me bugger all for fixing it up even though they spent about four hours chasing down the fault. Good Luck Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/78391-bf-mk2-doors-locking-and-unlocking-themselves/#findComment-1178870 Share on other sites
