If you didn't have the lag you would be complaining about not being able to get off the line at all.

The n/a's with a slippery diff hook up very very well. 0 to 60 times are as good as a T's. They don't bog down and they don't spin up. Once the T's are rolling and the motor/turbo is spinning up it's a no contest. As the 60 to 100 and on times tell.

Besides isn't it better to wipe the smile off their faces as you go by like they are standing still.

You can have more power off the line

It's called FG turbo, not the turbocharger but the car, mates brother has a G6E n/a and it's a close race till 10km/h, then it's fishy town past and off into the distance

Stall it up on the brake and you get heaps off the line, wheel spin is your next problem.

Exactly.

And stalling at the lights is not an ideal way to accelerate at every set of lights to keep up with less powerful cars. Trannie/Diff/Tyres etc cop a pounding if you do that.

Yeah, I don't waste my time racing xt's it was a one off thing!

I will stall it off the line when I go to the track to get some figures untill then I drive it normal with a bit of a heavy foot!

Plenty of peanut brains actually.....then whinge their car is broken somewhere at low Ks.

At the end of the day, for initial acceleration no one should buy a heavy sedan - HSV/FPV get smoked by many cars until 40kph. Awesome and reliable family cars otherwise.
