Hello this is my first post,

As I am in the market to purchase a G6ET before I do I would like to be aware of what to look for as common faults if any ?

any feed back would be appreciated in my quest to owning one of these beauty's.

With fords extended warranty is it really worth any thing ? also is there different levels of warranty, if so do you know what they are ?

Is there a particular colour that's faster than the others .... hehehehe.

Re the brakes, Im a motorcyclist that annually goes to Phillip Island for track days, I would tow/carry over a tonne of weight are these brakes up to the task or should I could I just fit the Brembos off the F6 ? This question also refers back to warranty.

Cheers Mike.

Brakes are good or sh*t depends on who you ask.... For street duties only!

Dealer extended warranty is poo

Brakes are a modification and would be looked at as such if any claims arise, you need new wheels to fit brembo's

Velvet is the best colour but I'm biased

Havana I think it is is sh*t hot too, then white or silver

But it's personal taste

If I was to but another I'd buy my exact combo, but you can't get it anymore...

Breaks aren't great but should be up to the job, if you buy brembos you will have to buy new wheels as well as they won't under the G6 ones.

Don't get black, looks good clean but only stays clean for about 60-65 minutes.

Fords extended warranty is just an extension of the factory warranty, so yes it's worth it.

Check the IPOD cable as they tend to break pretty easy, Ipod should plug in an require you to push on the clips on the side to unplug (not pull straight off)

Mine will be for sale soon if your in Melbourne.

ill asume the 19 inch ford rims are no good to fit over the Brembos, Bugger thought that would be ok. IPOD cable that's it WOW I am impressed. Im in Adelaide looking for a lowish K'd vehicle I agree with your thoughts on black if fact I prefer not to buy a dark coloured vehicle as I travel through out S.A. a lot. I have had at least 6 near miss - head on's on country roads I always now drive with head lights on still people cant see me maybe I should fit flashing lights to it ?

Warranty so I just pay for what labour ? is there a limit ie k's travelled by vehicle year of vehicle ?

question to you Dillz , I cant access the classifieds is this due to me being new ? I have sent a message to a Moderator but the message bounced back could you assist me with this please.

Regards Mike

Yeah I think you need 25 posts from memory.

Warranty is 3 year or 100k which ever comes first. Ford would be the best people to talk to about warranty stuff.

IPOD is not the only thing, there is heaps of stuff the could be stuffed. Just didn't want to scare you off lol
