Hi. I have just purchased a 08 F6 ute and keen to start modifying it already.

Seems to be lot of info about the type of mods im considering but to many options of parts to use.

Im considering the following as a start.

PWR stepped cooler because price and fittment

Alloy replacement piping. Not sure of brand Herrod, Plasmaman, coolerworx?

4 inch Xforce dump and exhaust again because of good price

SS Growler intake

X3 flash tune and maybe the ZF tune by either C&V or Tunehouse as both have good reps

Im assuming this should get me easy 320-330rwkw but will these mods support 400rwkw when I decide to go further with more mods?

Any help would be great or any other suggestions.

Chuck in bigger injectors and a turbo port mod and you'll probably be getting close to 400..

What he said. You might want to go a bigger cooler though, saves doing it later

Ok cool. I realise turbine housing, injectors and valve springs would be the next mods to get it to the 400rwkw mark was wondering if the PWR cooler would support this level of power as PWR rates it at over 400rwkw but from all I've read on here people are not to sure about it. Just a little confused.

I prefer to use PWR as I've used their products before and like them plus added bonus of no hacking up the car.

I was going to go for the stepped cooler but was told by my tune that it wouldn't be sufficient for the power. I went with the process west stage 2 kit. That involved cutting out the section of plastic where the pwr steps in and a very small amount of metal trimming at the bottom.

So, any cutting could become an insurance hassle if in an accident? They dont need much of an excuse to can you these days.

Without cutting it I don't think there is any decent cooler that will fit other than the pwr. And you'd think that the intercooler would give it more structural strength than the plastic?

My own opinion is the PWR cooler is very good for a bolt in item, but does not work as good as processwest stage 3 or Nizpro cooler at around 320 rwkw, but it doe not require cutting the reinforcement to fit it.

Possibly fitting the cooler add some strength back, but unless tested in crash tests etc it would not count
