My input shaft carked it last week. Is a heat treated input shaft and upgraded clutch plates on the first few gears all I should need to beef it up a bit? The bloke at the shop mentioned an output shaft aswell as the torque converter and how much should getting this stuff cost? Ive had a look through what everyone else seems to be paying which is around $3600 for a rebuild, but he reckons it's going to cost closer to 8 grand to get them to buy the parts and fix it or 9K to buy a built box from BTA. Any help would be much appreciated.

Stage 2 starts from 3999 which will easily handle that power (rated to 600). That's what I have in mine. Edited 25/10/13 04:56 AM by TomT

If you pay mote than 4k for a kit suitable for up to 600rwkw you're getting shaftes bigtime. Call either joe from cms or rob from monstatorque. You'll be in good hands with either, and the builds are flex plate clutch packs and billet shaft.

Chances are he'll know exactly what needs to be done. He probably built it to your specs originally - just needs to adjust the build now that you've worked out that what you asked for is a little different to what you really wanted. Loaded stock tune back in (ZF and engine) and from stone cold surge wasn't there. Auto felt better everywhere except firm change and omg, fart through the xforce - bloody loud! When going more power I was thinking of pulling a bit out of the tune or removing it altogether. What I'd really like is to keep a small bit of spark cut but have been told can't adjust that. Thoughts?
