PWR transcooler installed .....

It'd seem there's more and more people running external standalone coolers as apposed to heat exchanger factory setups.

How many people have had problems with them, I keep hearing of supposed issues due to temp and line pressures, but havent read many posts of

This is what the ebay seller had to say.

This questions is asked quite a bit. I have personally fitted 10 coolers to 6 speed auto's with no problems. I have also sold many to ford dealerships with no problems that I am aware of.

I have herd stories from customers that have read things on the Internet forum but I have also then sold many kits to those people with no issues.

I would have thought someone would have contacted me with any issues they where having with our kits.

The only problem I can see is it may take the trans a fair bit longer to warm up.

Mate if the car has done high k's, I would strongly recommend replacing the heat exchanger as well as your coolant. Just an FYI, my heat exchanger failed a while back, causing the 'milkshake' to occur. It was a BF, with the better quality KTM heat exchanger, and only had 46000km on the clock. This problem seems to be more common in FG's, now that they are using the cheapo 'made in china' heat exchangers that don't even have branding on them.

I thought that was considered the sh*t version and the Mahle one is better.

If it ain't broke don't touch it I say. The one on my BF is 4 years old and working just fine. I could change it but what's to say the replacement is any better. It could last 10 years or 10 days. Just like the original one that's on it now.

Broke, you may find it already has the steel pan on it. My car had the steel pan when I brought it new.

:stupid:

It's not an age thing that farks them it's completely random, that's what makes it so bad, you can't predict or prevent it other then replacing it with an external cooler.

Or pissing the whole thing off and buying a manual...

you are correct in saying this Adam thanks! Last night I layed down and gave the pan a gentle tap with a spanner and it would appear that I do indeed have a steel pan. nice surprise to be honest.

The Gulf Western website only lists the usual retailers like Autobarn, Autopro etc.

If you ring them they'll be able to tell you more places its available.

They put me onto a wholesaler that sold it to me for $153 I think it was
