Hey guys, I just installed rapid systems 4.5 kit and a plazmaman surge tank in my ba series 1 but now have engine light on and throttle not responding. I did also have battery out for a while before I put the new one in and thought mabe the custom tune I had in the car already my have been removed??

I fitted an 044 surge tank without a re-tune... Wouldn't the fuel regulator compensate or can't it handle the extra flow? Could it be tested by fitting a fuel pressure gauge after the pump? That might also tell you if it's not making enough pressure.

My afrs weren't too bad after my surge instal, just a little fat, certainly not running rough. Ended up getting them trimmed anyway just to help in the low rpm and cold running areas.

When I fitted my Process West Surge tabnk and 044 on I had a very rough idle and intermittant stalling. This was caused by the filter (Mesh) in the fuel reg being blocked with crap. As soon as this was fixed, normal idle was achieved.

Just a thought.... Good luck.
