I did also have battery out for a while before I put the new one in and thought mabe the custom tune I had in the car already my have been removed?? Wouldn't the fuel regulator compensate or can't it handle the extra flow? Could it be tested by fitting a fuel pressure gauge after the pump? This was caused by the filter (Mesh) in the fuel reg being blocked with crap. As soon as this was fixed, normal idle was achieved.Just a thought.... Good luck.
