Well with plastidip you could just spray over the area of stone chips, but you will see the dip in your paint. Vinyl would have more give than paint but I'd imagine plastidip would be the same given that its essentially rubber

yeah it would be the most flexible of them all.. not sure im a fan of how easily you see in the video that he pulls it off the windows and trims so easily...

would still be cool to find out what someone who has/will done it thinks of it

I haven't done a car, but I've bought a couple of cans to do my standard wheels. I did a test at work on a steel bin. Only did 2 coats as a test and peeled ok. Not as easily as in the vids, but they do 5 coats and would be a lot stronger than what I did.

I'd say it would peel that easy going by this, but didn't really have a "cut line" like they do either.

Worth a shot to see if OP likes it matte, leave it for a while and if he does, then get it painted?

Plasti dip a car, someone comes along and peels say a door or one random panel off. Would e hilarious.

Doubt this could be done with vinyl wrap.

I was looking into doing my ute in this, looking at the golf vid has put me off it.

looking at the finish when the car is in the sun it does not get an even finish.

it shows up the most on the bonnet, you can see where each pass has been made with the gun.

still going to do my wheels and other small sections in it, just dont think its good to do whole panels.

Wanted to try vinyl wrapping. Got these sheets for $5sqm delivered! Heat gun was $60ish I think. Few hours practice.

Was smart enough to use my brothers car as test dummy.
