The reason you dont really have an answer is we were unsure of the question , now you have asked the question I will provide a detailed answer.

if your replacing the sub.

disconnect frauds amp to allow full range to all speakers.

use a line output convertor (there are a few options depending on budjet)

1. Dead set tight ass. Perform ICC mod to get rca output. (20-30 bucks in parts)

Pros

Cheap

Cons

time consuming

and risk of damage to the audio board (fine soldering required)

2. I want top sound on a budjet. Install either the audiocontrol LC6i (200ish)or apline PXE-h660(200ish also (I have one for sale))

LC6i

Pros

GTO feature to turn your aftermarket amp on and off with the ICC

Easy to install

cons.

None found so far

ALPINE pxe-h660

Pros

Freakishly awsum sounds as this is a Sound processor

Cons

Setup is very time consuming , at least a day of install and tuning

manual isnt very helpful but there is plenty of guides on the net how to get top results

3.I dont care about money I just want the best. audison bit.1 (1200+ install)

pros

SQ that will win you comps if paired with top amps and speakers

cons

requires a fair bit of gear to set up properly and most would need to get it done by an audio shop

if the audio shop doesnt know how to install and tune it correclty it will not justify the cost

so now you have RCA's to feed your aftermarket amp

Most amps have a Low pass filter that will limit the audio to low freq's for the subs

if its a monoblock your laughin!

install power from batt.

hook up sub .

tune.

enjoy.

Hope this helps you out with what your trying to acheive.

remember to keep power and signal seperated.

noise can be an issuse.

1. eath your amp well (sand back to bare metal and nut and blot)

2.make sure you LOC is earthed at the same point at your amp

3. check clean or upgrade Batt to engine strap, Batt to chassis strap

4. dont run power near signals

PS, LOC should be fed from rear speakers

to start off with ( lc6i does 6 channels)

Sorry quaddie u may have answered this I'm a little confused. I havnt had premo sound before but new shell I have is bday with premo.

So with the stock fraud amp and parcel shelf sub wired up you don't get full range to the 4 speakers?? Does this mean your actually losing speaker quality by having the stock sub and amp hooked up? If u want decent stereo should you be unplugging stock sub and amp and not running them at all?

Sorry mate just bit confused when u said disconnect amp to get full range on speakers

Thought I might put an old amp I have laying around in my car over the weekend, have a few questions.

The above pic says the black and yellow on the end are where to connect the hi-low converter, is this correct, as I thought that may actually already be a low level mono signal?

I tested a hi-low level converter off the sub-woofer connector plug (blue wires) with my home theater sub and that worked fine, also alot easier than cutting or splicing the factory amp loom.

Also, will disconnecting the green 'diag' wire from the factory amp, make the ICC send a full range signal to the speakers, with the amp still working (need it working if I'm going to run the hi-low converter from the sub plug)

Lastly, what have people done for remote? Thinking either run one from up front from cig etc, or run a relay with a more sensitive trigger that will operate off the factory amp's 5v signal, pretty sure most aftermarket amps need closer to 12v on the remote wire?

sorry for the slow reply ,

what LOC are u using?

active LOCS , will want a remote on to turn on like an amp does , provide this from ACC , (cig lighter)

if u have a LC6i , it detects the sound(voltage) on the speaker input and turn the amps on!

if your have a premo sound system.

when your factory amp if plugged in , it tell the ICC to turn on 100Hz filters to the front and rear speakers.

if your hooking up an aftermarket sub , this is not wanted if sorcing audio from the front or rear speakers. disconnecting the amp will allow full range of freqs to the speakers!

Quadie,

Is there much noise picked up using the LC6i? At the moment my audio is fine, but I have previously tried the ASL boosted/filtered kit and the noise was shocking. added cheap filters and a ground loop isolator to it, added extra earths to the battery/alternator, didn't help.

It's kind of put me off trying anything else! at the moment I have just installed a sub and amp, with a cheap hi/low converter connected to the factory sub's plug.

Also, is there an easy way to wire the lc6i in without cutting wiring? and where have you mounted them? seems like a lot of wires to run through the car, all 4 speakers to lc6i, 3 rca's from lc6i to amp/'s and then speaker wires back to all doors etc.

never had an issue with whine from the lc6i

I have mounted them behind the glovebox before , under the seat and in the boot.

if you plan your wiring its no more that a normal amp upgrade is

in mine its located in the boot , I spliced the the fronts at the kickpanel of each door , ran 2 lengths of speaker wire, one from the existing icc wiring and 1 running the amped signal back up to the front.

per side.

racs to amps are easy.
