Guest harasn Guests Posted 29/01/03 11:30 PM Share Posted 29/01/03 11:30 PM this air box is originally fitted to the mustang. We tried the normal falcon air box and the type fitted to the XR8 motors and on the dyno I'm pretty sure it saw a gain of 5-8kw at the flywheel from it. I say go for it but the reason its not fitted from the factory on the turbo is due to cost. Its an expensive sucker!
Guest JESMAL Guests Posted 30/01/03 01:42 AM Share Posted 30/01/03 01:42 AM EXPENSIVE is right! But I'm sure customers are willing to pay more for that sucker to be fitted coz more will be around the $500 range. I just don't know why they didn't make that an option coz I've got a BMC CDA (drum filter which looks and works exactly the same as the ones in the 8s and GTs...except in carbon fibre which is even sweeter ) fitted in my series 1 since start of last year and it works beautifully.........
