These things are more likely to happen on modified cars.Totally agree.Live and learn.Had the car for exactly 1 year to the day, done 13,000kms since I got it,Replaced 2 sets of drive shafts, only ever did one burn out (on dirt)Replaced the lsd with a trutrac, because the LSD was flogging out, so seemed a good idea to upgrade to a better unit.At the same time the trutrac went in, got new genuine drive shafts fitted, that was 4000 k's ago. The drive shafts are allready ticking.Bought it with a tune, that lost traction in 2nd, got it retuned for smoother power but slightly higher kw.It's been a real love hate releationship, this latest thing seals the deal.If I had of been thashing it at the time, I'd be like "Oh well" but just cruising and one small mysterious error , the initial fuel dump issue is baffeling and I can only put it down to ecu glitch or something.I'll take a pic of the engine with it's cover off and the timing marks in the morning. Read any fine print in your warranty contract carefully.I also doubt you would be able to sell your rebuilt motor for $6500, but again good luck, maybe ask the other members what they would pay for a second hand rebuilt engine, that will give you an idea what the market will pay.
