So it seems it has jumped a couple of teeth on the timing chain it is possible that it has just munched all the valves and not gone through the pistons etc id atleast pull the head off to see if its possible to salvage it you could be lucky.

I'll try to get a ford dealer to confirm the parts cost, and try to get as many parts under warranty for $2500 through the dealer, then install myself.

I'll be very surprised if they go for that.

If he bought it second hand and it was already tuned and the warranty is with the finance company Or the car yard then it might actually be covered. I got offered a 'warranty package' when I bought the ute.. Didn't seem worth the extra cost to me.

I got the car and they threw in 3 year extended warranty, it was already tuned.

I'll get the head off in the next few days.

The valves all seem to have same clearances on inlet, and same on exhaust.

find out when I get the head off.

As for pics there's nothing to see yet, so far it's just the timing marks don't line up.

But there's no grindy sounds,

only thing I did notice was a fresh score under the rocker cover, (chain rubbed against it)

Anyway, once I get the head off I'll post pics of what's wrong.

Main concern is the cause, still have no idea how that much fuel dumped into the block so quick.

How can you test the injectors and ecu connection without them in the head ?????????
