When I start it again its fine, though occasionally the speedo (only the speedo - not he tacho or anything else in the cluster) stops working, and wont work again until I turn the car off and back on again. Its a BF mkII XR6T with the 6sp manual.Would love to know whats causing this as its pissing me off. The car is due for a service, but I've been having a lot of trouble finding a mechanic who I can trust (epic issues with my last car). Thanks in advance! It also used to turn over once, and then stop. I added another earth strap to the starter and I didnt have another backfire. 12 months later the starter motor died. Could be all coincidence.
