For well over a year my 04 XR6T has had occasional misfiring and power loss "fluttering" when accelerating hard ... annoying part is that its totally unpredictable , most days it does not do it , and those "good" days it has have ALWAYS been when ive dropped it off to a performance garage to get it checked ! (damn thing) , usually involving me catching POOblic transport home and no car for days. Finally had enough and today when it was misfiring, I took it to DYnomotive and they told me it needs a set of 6 new coils , they said it was an obvious fix, (had all spark plugs changed last week by them) After all this time and headache I cant believe out of all the other people who looked at it, nobody even sugguested it might be the coils. I bought the coils today from ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/170742879770?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 , way cheaper than bursons and apparantly better quality.

99% of people on here would have said do coils/ plugs first.

I replaced my coils not long ago, my tuner said the VDO coils where not that great.

Coffee Ford in melbourne had genuine coils for $27 each.

but I have noticed also water seems to condense in the spark plug holes from heating up and cooling down when the weather is humid.

I check my plugs every 5000ks, and every time, there's moisture in the plug holes.
