Hey Dillz,

Is your G6ET your daily? If I had my time again, I wouldn't have modified my FG and bought second car as a project..

Just find no matter how much I modify and spend on my FG, there is always something else that breaks or needs fixing... Would not have worried me normally however, being my company car and having it off the road from time to time does get frustrating..

Yeah mate, and that's my logic now too.

What's the point in having an expensive newer model when your probably going to break everything and replace it anyway.

That all depends how far you go with the modifications.

A big HP car will never be bullet proof IMO.

Just take the motor out, throw some good parts in it in your mates garage before it blows up and let it live on! It's worked for me for around 60,000k's!

Yeah that's what I had decided to do for a bit, a BA with a pitlane tune too 300 would be pretty safe anyway but the buyer he had came through so back to the drawing board unfortunately.

I asked, he doesn't build engines.

Yeah, you can get your own block tested before the build then either keep replacing it till you find a good one or run the gauntlet I guess. Do stronger rods put more stress on the engine or something?

Rods don't put more stress on it, but with better rods comes the temptation to push things harder, just chucking things in without testing come mean disaster sometimes, but sometimes you will get away with it
