Hi Guys,

I have the car booked in to be fixed this Tuesday. My dad and I are going to tow the car to the mechanic using a tow strap. Is it ok to do this? and also where is the best place to tow the car from? I could not find the front tow point and I don't think it is the owner's manual.

Thanks,

Adam

Id tow truck it, shouldn't tow autos because oil pump is driven by motor and when your towing the gearbox is spinning with no oil feed. tow trucks r cheap. Manuals r fine but there is still a lack of places to tow from.

yep also been down this path not long ago and it sucked, got about enough change from 2G to buy a case and drown my sorrows.

got my rebuilt $1350 housing wasnt to bad, new speed flow oil line $175, turbo remove/replace $400, sound of new tight turbo spool PRICELESS

Also u might find some wont offer warrenty unless u go aftermarket oil feed line.

Car is all sorted now, thanks everyone.

The guy who repiared the turbo said in the past week he has had to rebuild 3 Garrett GT35's.

All up it cost $2,410.

  • $1750 for a turbo exchange, earl's oil line and other parts.
  • $585 to remove and fit the new turbo plus new oil supply lines
  • $75 for a tow truck

I think everything is going well, letting the turbo bed so I haven't been able to properly test it.

Thanks,

Adam
