Torque Converters

Hi all,

just been told my standard OEM Torque Converter is on the way out its been in the car 9 years so its had a good run, so this question has probably been asked 100 times. What is a good torque Converter and what stall range would I be after the car is doing 320rwk so I am happy with that.

Just need a little help/input

The 2800 is a good stall. I have done numerous runs to Newman from Perth (14 hours each way) with a trailer on the arse end with no issues. And when you put the boot in it jumps straight on boost.

Thanks for the help guys, I got a good trans cooler some time ago and run redline oil in the box.

Last question what company do you recommend?

What symtons did it have for you to be told it is on the way out?

Well it started with a loss of power low end and then ticking/rattling sound from the box when I put the car into drive and the car stopped, the sound only happens when the in drive and stopped... My Mech had a listen and new straight away what it was..
