You could try doing Zercher squats. You only need a barbell and weights for that, which makes it fairly affordable to take up, enables you to lift heavy with a bare minimum of equipment and takes up nearly no space at all when stored.

yeah, I've done zerchers before with kettlebells... I wouldn't call barbell weights "take up no space" sort of options haha. It's true you can easily store a barbell itself somewhere out of the way... anyway, I'm not looking to buy equipment, just get through the lack of gym option time until the gym option then becomes available again :)

yeah, renting a house and exercise equipment don't match too well... Might consider sorting out a home gym once I buy a house... but who really knows the future.

Ah yeah I can see the possible issues there. It doesn't take much for weights to cause damage to their immediate surroundings.
