Working out for an hour per session, twice a day, 6 days per week has it's place and I made some good gains from it. I'm changing to a 6 week program that has a deload week on the 6th week and is 4 to 5 days per week except the 5th week which is only 3 days. While it is still hypertrophy based it focuses on progressive intensity rather than the progressive volume that I was doing before. This program includes dead lifts which I've been missing a little bit. Anyway I finished my lunch today and was getting ready for a workout when I realised that it's a day off today! It feels strange not going out to the shed for a workout after lunch when I've been going out there so often but I'm glad for the extra rest.

I did start fairly light with the deadlifts just to make sure it's all good and...it's all good. I'm looking forward to making some good strength gains over the next year and will be in the advanced lifting strength category notwithstanding injury. I think it'll take 6 months but we'll see, I ain't making any promises lol This means at the low end; benching 120kg for 5 reps squatting 160kg for 5 reps deadlifting 190kg for 5 reps overhead pressing 75kg for 5 reps
