Dead lifted 180kg this weekend

Two reps, Was bloody stoked considering my last pb was something like 160kg 1rep.

Had a belt on though, not sure how much difference that would of made?

Worked out at the FF in Sylvania up in Sydney with my brother over the weekend. Really good gym, a heap of great equipment including things I had never seen before. Some really big boys, one guy was probably the biggest person I have seen in the flesh. The amount if muscle he was carrying was astonishing. Enough mass to compete at the very top level just not a great deal of athestics. I deffinately know I never want to get anywhere near that big lol.

Haha agreed.. Being that big would take a ridiculous amount to maintain it.. And I don't have that much spare time..

On a side note.. Split my exercises.. Now doing Upper and Lower Body Days.. When I increased the weight I was doing in legs I was struggling to have good form on any upper body exercises that involved standing.. (Cause my legs were shaking)..

Adjusted my diet severely.. And while I've gotten on the scales once I don't intend on getting back on them for quite some time.. Going by how well my jeans fit..

So for anyone else reading this and considering starting exercise.. I'd do it! I've gone from needing 4-5 coffees to make it through a 12 hour day to only 2.. Sleeping better and feeling better.. It's frikkin great.

When you blokes say you dead lifted, for example, 120kg, is that including the bar? Do you add the bar weight to the figure or just worry about what actual weights your chucking on?

By the way had a big back workout today, I'm wrecked, gonna be sore the next day or two... But gonna have a good crack tomo on legs..

I normally do, squats, calf raises, leg ext and leg press, but might swap something out (leg ext) and chuck in some straight leg dead lifts, never done them before but just to mix it up.. What are your thoughts?

Make sure you do your hammys too, leg curls (seated and or lying) and straight leg deads as you said. If you're doing quads/hammys and calves on the same day, do calves at the end
