Totally agree, so many guys trying to throw big weight and only getting half an extension or poor form.

I'm no expert by any means and I don't want to sound like I think I know everything about training because its far from that, but once you have been shown the proper form its so easy to see where people go wrong. I would be one of those people without guidance

I recommend seeing a Personal Trainer to get some proper advice on technique - even if it is only for a couple of sessions, just so you know what to do

even just do a couple of reps with the bar only, so that you can get used to what its meant to feel like. then add the weights and do your usual amounts of reps & sets.

I havent been to the gym in a week or so, cause I hurt my shoulder in my pole dancing class. Will be back there next week.

THIS.. because of the nature of the movement and the heavier weight you're very vulnerable so correct form is a must.

Also when doing it, dont go slamming the bar on the ground like most do.

Tell the guy at our gym when he does this, so bloody annoying and wrong- respect the weights and the gym.

Have you seen him when his at the smith machine and throws it down from a forward squat.

Not long now STIFLR, how's your training going?

Last week I was on the treadmill and there was a guy using some kind of equipment ( I couldnt see from where I was) and everyone could hear him screaming and moaning like he was giving birth. I mean really? is it necessary. I understand people make some noises but this guy you could hear over the music, the gym class next door...and believe me I dont think he was any Dorian Yates either

Some of the sh*t you see at my gym would make you shake your head with shame...

Today alone I saw a young guy super setting deadlifts with bicep curls, however he had more weight on each arm than he had on the bar. 25kgs each side throwing them up using more of his back than arm. The guy was half my size and I do half that weight. Maybe its a lat, bicep, isolation curl THAT I DONT KNOW ABOUT!!! lol

There was yet another guy that came into the weight room with thongs on ready to lift the iron. Was obviously asked to leave.. In the last week that would make 3 I have seen. Who the f*ck wears things into a gym? REALLY!!

Then there was the old dude that was sat at the preacher curl bench reading a book BETWEEN SETS! that's right, he would do his 12, put the bar down, grab his book read a page then do another set.... WTF??

Hahaha im not a gym nazi by any means I just dont understand why on a day like today you would waste your time in the gym giving anything less than 100%. Better off reading your book in the park and having a jog.

I've done similar stuff for finishers, but only 4 different exercises and mostly with body weight.
