Weight is down to 115.7kg today. I'd say that's most of the water gone, the next week will surely get rid of it all then I'll be back to my regular fat bastardness.

Another leg day today. Trying not to be a whiney little bitch cos it's too hot, too many flies and only half a nights sleep for the past week.

Now that's out the way and I've done a bunch of warm ups I can keep going and get it done. Haha only 2.5 to 3 hours to go 🫠

I just had a 2 week break to let my joints recover a bit. Now I've started another 2 week easy stretch, just 50% weight or so for whatever reps feels ok, most likely 20 give or take.

After that I'll jump into strength training aka Mad Cow if everything feels ok, which it should.

I bought a new to me squat/bench rack yesterday. My old one has removable pins to adjust the height and it's not the ideal squat height for me. Also the legs aren't braced to each other so it moves around a bit. It's ok for benching but has no safety bars.

The new one has hooks for the bar spaced a few inches apart so I'll have no trouble getting the right height. The legs are braced so it should be more stable. It also has safety bars so there is no chance of getting stuck under the bar when benching. Over the last ten years I've only gotten stuck once and another time my wrist gave out and dropped it on my chest. None of that sh*t will happen now.

I only paid $200 for it so I'm fairly happy overall.

That's an excellent result :) what are you doing with the old one; selling it, I assume?

also, for everyone, don't use collars on your bench when you're by yourself or without safety bars whenever you're anywhere near your maximum, so you can at least dump the plates off the sides in an emergency situation (obviously that won't stop issues with wrist collapsing or other injuries but it's better than being crushed when you're going for failure, and is still better than collars in those situations)

Yeah I reckon I'll sell it. I don't use collars while benching for that reason. I do use them while squatting though so the weights stay put if I miss step walking it out.

yeah, I meant only for Bench... now you'll have safety bars for your squatting so that's even safer now :)
