Need to start off doing it as a more manageable and progressive thing, rather than go hard out and burn myself out/get over it.

It'll be easy enough and you will make gainz without working unnecessarily hard. There is no need to go crazy at the gym. It causes more harm than good, both physically and mentally. Even when you are lifting more weight it's still gotta be manageable and progressive.

Actually felt much better dropping the weight back and doing more reps, I was able to get a lot lower with my squats today. So going to keep that up until it gets easy with that motion, then up the weight at which point...rather than just loading up on weight without strengthening the supporting muscles to help me lift the heavier weights. Did 4x sets of 10 reps with 60kg squats. Previously I was doing 3x sets of 8 reps of 90kg...but I never felt overly settled or comfortable with my technique. It is a sure way to get injured when you try adding weight to poor form. There are other reasons to such as neural adaptation and not using effective rom.
