last week I was doing leg press as normal on a Friday. I felt good had no issues then on the last leg press trying to push it out I got this really bad pain in the back of my head. feels were the spin meets the head. couldn't lift anything heavy for the rest of the day. it is farking painful when it happens. Anyway this morning after a warm up I was doing pull ups and bang the pain came back and now im struggling to even lift normal stuff. any ideas or has my brain exploded.

Mate niggles and learning how to work around injuries is part of the game.

But where spine and head are involved. Make time to go see a doc. Those parts of the body are not to be diagnosed by Internet wannabe legends.

I had something similar happen back when I was actual doing lots of weight training. I was pushing like 240kgs on a leg press and was coping fine then on the last rep of the set felt what I thought was my back twinge. I struggled pretty hard to move, let alone lift weights, for the next few days. Saw the site physio and turned out it was my glutes had pretty much locked up, they were tight as fark. Took like a month or two of dry needling, physio, deep tissue work and stretching a few times a day to finally loosen everything up again. I've been pretty scared of leg weights ever since...was actually about the time I stopped hitting the gym regularly...

Thanks for info/ tips guys, appreciate it !

So basically I need to lift as much as I can, but how many reps? Focus on 2 muscle groups per workout...Gatorade plus protein shake after workout...how long should a work out last?

And if I think it's taking too long...get on the juice hahaha

No

Hey guys,

Have enjoyed following this thread but haven't been back for a while...

I'd like to offer my advice and support for the forum members - I have been involved in the industry for a number of years now and am happy to offer feedback or point you in the right direction.

I am a qualified exercise physiologist, hold a certificate III and IV in fitness and personal training, have done further training courses such as sports nutrition, sports training course, sports first aid etc. I'm a keen gym goer and have been a PT for a number of years. Currently working for a global surgical/medical technology company so I can help with surgery rehab, what to expect in a surgery, sports injury surgical options etc... Considering doing post graduate strength and conditioning If I don't proceed with my Masters of medical ultrasound and sonography.

This post is for me to put out an offer to provide any help or guidance for you forum members. You guys have saved me a lot of time, money and effort and saved me from a a few bad purchases -To offer my help and support is the absolute least I can do... Please feel free to PM me if I can help you with anything at all :spoton:

Keep up the good work!

Cheers,

Dan

Just need to pull the finger out stripes. People cant make you do anything but they can assist you. Get motivated and smash some jack 3d advanced. You can do it. Make time chipper and anything is possible. ;)
