A full tank of 98 wont fix a mechanical issue caused by bad fuelStart with a set of Plugs and work backwards from there

I brought car not too long ago , and he said not much was done to it. all I know of is aftermarket intercooler . blow off valve. and capa flash box was tuned with the car. tthing I dont get is that I never noticed the problem before I did clutch .. I just sprayed heaps of aerostart over car and there is no vaccum leaks , then put half a tank of 98 in .. took it for a spin and car went okay for a bit and didnt boost over 11psi ,played up a bit but not as much .. then 1km down the road went back to sh*t again

wagnman Member 567 Member For: 15y 7m 23d Posted 16/12/11 12:11 AM Share Posted 16/12/11 12:11 AM Honestly the best thing you could do is pay a tuner $50 to run it up on his dyno and give you an opinion on the tune as it is now.If they wat to charge you more than that walk away and go see someone else.If there is major issues with th tune (and it sounds like there is) the tuner should be able to spot it straight away and may even be able to fix it fairly cheaply (if its only tune related and not hardware failure), they usually charge an hourly rate for this kind of thing.I know it can be tough on aprentice wages but a few weeks catching teh train or riding th pushy will get you the cash together and save you an expensive rebuild from driving it hard with issues happening.
