Hi Guys, Just for interests sake.

I've seen one twin turbo ute on youtube and a twin turbo drag car in WA but are there any others out there?

I know most people say that its not worth it and to just use a single but I'm putting together a motor that will use two skyline turbos and a liquid intercooler.

Mainly because they are easy to get and cheap to repair and its not everyday you see a twin turbo falcon.

Cheers

I had a thought the other day that everyone is going about the twin turbo option the wrong way.

When thinking twin turbo everyone stresses out about trying to mount two turbos under the bonnet and ends up with a sh*t box in the process with no better performance than a good single would give you.

What I would like to see someone try is to mount the second turbo up the back of the car rear mount kits are common these days so shouldnt be too hard to fab one for the falcon.

All you aould need is a "Y" pipe on the intercooler intake side where the two turbos feed into and a big enough cooler and injectors, cyl head and bottom end etc to handle the extra air flow and power etc.

I think this would produce interesting results and be massivley more simple than trying to put the twins under the bonnet.

Why not a turbo and a supercharger? Turbo feeds the blower which feeds the engine, there's plenty of room for both.

Turbo to feed the blower? Does that even work? They work in different ways....

Is it possible to have the blower with its 'instant' power to kick in first then a large ish turbo to handle the mid to top end? Would have the best power band, boost and torque from almost idle all the way to redline...

Yeah mate, seen it on a 35 GTR. 2 of each.

Now there's an idea, two low mount turbos that feed two super chargers on the I6. Maybe even quad turbos? Or even better how about one for each cylinder?
