Exhaust Mods For My G6Et Sensation

Hi Guys,My ride is currently stock but am itching to squeeze some more KW's like everyone else here.

I plan to visit Xtreme Ford tuning for a stage one tune with injectors but the exhaust factor is something that I would like some help with.

The situation is I understand the gains you get from a well engineered exhaust but I dont want to sacrifice the quiet ride completely at the moment and

definitely cant tolerate any boom.

Can anyone suggest a good combo of cat and exhaust or can I get away with the standard exhaust but with a high flow cat, if so which brand and exhaust specialist.

Throw a highflow cat in mate and that'll be fine.

Just do the cat. Mine made over 320rwkw with the stock exhaust - just a high flow cat added. Same sound level as factory.

Thanks guys for the advice, I like the Venom High Flow cat which just bolts in. Not sure if injectors are needed with the tune to get the 320Kw's QA50 but very interested to find out what else you did?

BTW I already have a K & N filter fitted.

Also do you find now you need a LSD?

Yeah will need injectors too, also be worth upgrading your plastic pipes to alloy before they burst.

Not a huge amount of mods to get there but yes, you'll need bigger injectors. So far its fine without the LSD. Have a look in this thread:

The little FG turbo runs out of puff at about the same time the exhaust becomes a restriction anyway. Unless you are upgrading the turbo in the search of more power or just want the sound, I reckon keep it stock.

Have since recently found that the venom cat has only a 3 inch dump pipe but do you guys recommend a 4 inch while I'm there? ( Venom high flow cat and dump pipe $495)

just means more dollars on the pipe work and not sure on the bang for buck factor.

If so can you suggest a high flow cat /dump pipe combo?
