Interesting. With that reported power level the car should feel pretty good. I use a mixed tank of fuel for tune times. A full tank of 98 minus a drive to then allow for about 8 litres of 95 to allow for the a small safety margin and it is an old habit.

Car is a BF manual. When it had 350HP ATW - from a rolling start weather cool at ~ 25Km/hr in second and boot it with a 5800 shift point = factory speed limiter in just on 1100 metres. Some dyno runs at the shop did show a small reduction in power when the day goes over 30 degrees. ( Usual sorts of low end, budget mods to get that power figure.)

I think your tuner is really looking after you. Its pretty easy to "over tune" these things which is not funny when it goes bang.

Looking at VCM suite tables and live data while on the dyno, the boost in the BF hits hard in the midrange (about 3K) - that is with a stock wastegate flapper. You just cannot bleed it off quick enough which causes overboost and detonation. IMO 95 octane fuel escalates that problem because 98 gives more scope to allow time to get on top of the boost issue. I like proof of this sort of thing, so the car in question was treated to some higher octane fuel and we were able to both increase timing and add a bit of boost midrange which gave a better curve, more power - BUT useless day to day because of fuel cost. XFT have been at this for a while and although I use another tuner, IMO Simon has given you a good result in terms of a power gain and reliability.

I'm rather sure he thought Dillz comment "too slow" was aimed at him and not tra1ner. Aaanyway.

I think the car debacle has FPVF6 310 running a very short fuse it seems....ha ha.

Mind you, that is the EXACT reason I didnt tune my BA all those years ago when it was "the new thing" like the current FPV F6 etc. Knew how I would react if it didn't go well so have never bothered (heard similar horror stories in Tas)
