Hi guys

I got my BF F6 tuned at XFT the other day. It made 267kw apparently with ID1000s and a 5" venom cat but it was tuned on 95. I thought it would be more of a big jump in power but I was a little underwhelmed with it. Wont spin in any gear. Its a bit punchier in midrange and a bit quicker in the top end but not what I expected. I took my mates for a spin and it didnt really impress.

Is this normal for this power level? How quick should it accelerate from say 40 - 120?

Not normal to run it on 95, definitely holding back easy power.

Power sounds low, my car doesn't spin very easily except off the line. Doesn't mean it's not quick, just very smooth. To be honest it's better to drive than stock- doesn't impress my friends until we are either going incredibly fast or when a car that sounds fast loses badly.

Where I live I can only get 95. Boost does come on gradually. If I floor it at 40 it will snap back and spin at top of first and a lil into 2nd but not much. the part that didnt impress at all was accelerating from 120, laggy to come on to boost and kinda slow feeling. It does go alright if I go from first and its got boost going to the next gears. Im back in Port Hedland now so no going back for a while, maybe just need more bits. I'll get the dyno print out off him tomorrow and post it up.

Cheers

it sounds like your boost solinoid valve needs a good clean and a new fuel filter, from stock to 280ish u should have a fiar decent smile on the dial, my ba from stock to 260 was wicked with heaps of spin something sounds wrong

Just ask to have the tune tweaked a bit more to your liking, though its most likely on the tame side due to you having to use low octane fuel.

There are so many variables a tuner can play with to alter the way the car drives, I'm sure he wont mind spending some more time on the tune to make it more responsive.
