You get me a new true trac supplied and fitted for $1500 and I'll put my name down for 10 of them, 1 for me and I'll sell the rest for $2000 still cheap and profit!!

5 places I called quoted prices starting above $2k even one place mentioned here that was supposedly $1550

Sorry should be clear, $1550 with gears was what I got quoted for, standard gears though, nothing specialised, not installed just supplied, install would be another $700 ensuring your axles are in the right shape and bearings arent shagged. Speak with Tough car parts for parts and prices, he does some good deals. Oil would be on top of that. Also I was stating that for the cost of rebuilding the factory Diff, there are better options and if you are going to abuse it, best off to spend the money once and spend a little more than have to go back in another 100,000kms with the same potential problems and inherent factory design issues. Just my 2c is all, take it as you will

Here in Perth my True Trak was $2200 inc freight and fitting. Great bit of kit, quiet, reliable, tough, I wasn't so much concerned about the price as I knew I was getting a quality diff.. Gotta think it would be cheaper in Melbourne though with reduced freight and more competion enabling to get a better deal.
