Firstly becuase nearly all of these sorts of issues are caused by things such as this, and secondly...and more importantly, there was actually a Technical Service Bulletin covering this that ford brought out. One simple thing can cause untold headaches. Sometimes I wish I was one of those guys who just CBF if anything doesnt work on a car and as long as it gets them from A to B they are happy. They would put up with crap reception and it wouldn't bother them.
