Twisted input shaft in the ZF ?????? One of the first things you need to strengthen if going above 500nm

Just curious on this one has 500nm is substantially less than stock cars that run the ZF. My understanding ZF rate it at 600nm, so probably a level of 'safety' in that, maybe 50-100nm.

Not really sure what your asking. The stock torque is 450nm so less than 500. And the zf should be rated to a higher amount to handle it nicely.

XR6T is 533NM

So my point was all stockers are more than 500nm as such I didn't understand whys strengthening would be needed.

Has anyone else solved this problem yet as I have the same problem in an FG F6 ute.

Bad vibration and banging under hard acceleration up till 40-50kph but smooth as at any speed not under load.

I replaced rubber coupling and center bearing and had a custom shaft made with uni's which fixed it for about a week till I raced it and it came back.

It feels like a center bearing issue so I replaced which lessened the vibration quite a bit but did not eliminate it.

Talked to Kings springs about it he seems to think it has been lowered to much as it has Pedders reset leafs but im not prepared to waste money on new springs as im not convinced this is it yet.

Either way ford has done the worst engineering job with the driveline in these utes ive designed and built entire chassis and suspension systems with cars making much more power than this and never had so much dramas

Has anyone else solved this?

This happened to me once taking off from the lights, have it a good boot and then a almighty bang, scared the $hits out of me. Mine is stock height and when I spoke to King springs they said anything under SL height will do it. I have SSL leafs at home but have not put them in yet, don't know if I will either.

Might sell them and get the Pedders adjustable leafs. Went there Friday and the make a leaf that you can adjust in 3 heights, LOW,SUPERLOW,SUPERSUPERLOW. Anyone use or using the Pedders Leaf springs?
