I am now looking to sort the fuel system so that I may maximise the fun factor.I currently have a Holley Blue pump and 1/2' fuel line running to the engine bay. This is accompanied by the standard Holley fuel regualtor. The engine is a very stout 351 cleveland with 302 rods, Roller cammed with professionally flowed 2v heads to be run in conjunction with a 4500rpm stall. I have a Barry Grant RS series carb with annular boosters which is configured to 810cfm. will be running a 4500 rpm stall. So now the questions begin:1. What fuel regulator should I use?2. Should I get one that utilises a return line?3. What size should the return line be?4. What setup should I use at the carb? Eg: fuel log or one of the braided -8 jobs off ebay?5. If the fuleog idea is no good, what should the lines size be to ensure that there is minimal restriction?6. Should this have a dual inlet to ensure that bother metering blocks get equal pressure? Or is one sufficient?I look forward to hearing from you. Your advice is greatly appreciated.Brad

Its all good for the last thing you want to do is run it lean.. Your Holley Blue is good for around 450hp using 1/2" line so perhaps you are getting close to its llimits. Have you run this combo before? I know that Holley needle and seats are safe for up to 6-7psi of fuel pressure but remember, its not just pressure you want, its shedloads of flow. Are you running E85 or something else? Whats the compression ratio? How hard does it rev? Do you drag race it? Do you launch hard?On my 302Windsor, Im running a Blue pump and pressure regulator set at 7psi, Edelbrock Torker2 Intake manifold, Holley 750DP and relatively soft compression (9.6 to 1). It revs safely to 6500rpm cut out and has never run lean. I wish the bank could afford a Barry Grant carb (more tunability than the venerable old Holley)There are literally dozens of options for fuel systems for your motor, try to find one that doesnt break the bank and has some capacity in reserve. Aeromotive have some very nice stuff, just comes down to what you need and want to spend. The number of peoole who are still familiar with carburettors (An ingenious device for providing the wrong air /fuel ratio an all engine speeds!!) is shrinking fast. Since mine was dynoed and set-up, I haven't had to play with it.If you were in Perth, I'd introduce you to the Mad Macedonian, cut his teeth on carby V8's and just knows that shoite inside out..I will do a bit of looking around, trawl through a few old old magazines and see what I can findMal K
