Go into limp mode every time you nailed it and you wouldn't be able to use the few extra horsepower you got anyway. Sorry to say I really really dont think it's a good idea. But hey it's your engine!

With most turbo cars it's the easiest way to get good gains. Dangerous but easy- a couple of psi doesn't usually hurt on a stock tune as most cars run rich from the factory.

Haven't heard anyone using one on an xr6 though.

Because you can't really, the slightest increase in boost throws it into limp mode.

Would of been the first thing everyone tried when these cars first came out in 02, now nearly 10 years later an you hardly hear about it cause no one does it because it doesn't work.

^+1 overboost threshold for a stock ba is only 1Lb. Hardly worth the effort.
