I have an 04 XR6T and when I go over a bump (even a small bump) I can hear a rattle like sound in the suspension if I have the windows down. I did notice that when I apply the brakes (even ever so slightly) the noise goes away. Kroozin Menace Donating Members 1,990 Member For: 14y 8d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 24/09/12 09:26 AM Share Posted 24/09/12 09:26 AM what about the hand brake?Try pulling the handbrake up 2 clicks when going over heaps of those little bumps..I once had those little arms on the inner side of the rear brake rotor that actuates the handbrake tap against the rotor dust shield.Turned out my cable was a little on the loose side allowing the handbrake arm to shake around and tap sh*t. lambda09a New Member 14 Member For: 12y 7m 7d Posted 28/09/12 11:10 AM Share Posted 28/09/12 11:10 AM I tried slowly pulling up the handbrake while driving along and hearing the rattle and I got up to 4 or 5 clicks before I heard a thump from the back (I think as the hand brake engaged suddenly) even though I was only pulling it up very very slowly. I wonder if that whole mechanism is loose. Might jack it up and have a wiggle over the next few days. I then tried to move the brake calliper and it did move and upon doing so it made a noise at the extremities of the movement. I then proceeded to check the front calliper to see if it had the same movement and it seemed to move even more and make even more noise when I wiggled it. Is this normal? Should there be movement like this from the brake calliper?
