yes mate once you double or triple anything OEM your always going to break S***T. Hell I even snapped an input shaft on the weekend down shifting (well I didn't do it but the car thought it was a good idea).

I Shat myself when I did the input shaft, mine went upchanging 2nd to 3rd.. Clean break like yours...

We should probably stop talking about breaking stuff in this thread, the OP will start thinking his happy with standard power now.... :)

Interesting reply about about three tunes

I was told by a worshop that if the car is built for 400 kw it would be hard to run another tune at say low 300s

Which I thought was possible so it can be done

My plan was have three tunes

One max power only use at a drags

Street tune and a tight ass tune to drive around to work

That is true, sort of. If you have a car built for 600rwkw, you probably won't be able to get a 300rwkw tune as there are minimum limits for the injectors. A car built for 400rwkw should be able to get a 300rwkw tune I would think.

Even though my set up is built for 600rwkw, I have no issues with tuning it down... This is my work car (I'm a rep).. I do around 500km+ per week. I hardly ever drive it on the 600rwkw tune, I mostly get around on my pump tune of 490rwkw 25psi. If I wanted to, I could have a tune at 15psi or lower... But why?? ID Injectors are very good and have no issues flowing at lower levels and offer good fuel economy even with 2000cc inectors..

It's funny when I tell people the power my car has, you get the comments of "how do you drive it everyday" It drives like any other car on the road, it's not like you just push the go pedal and the car flips you sideways everytime... I can drive my car sedately and get good fuel economy, it's only when you start pushing the go pedal closer to the floor the all hell breaks loose and your economy goes out the window... :)

Yes that is another concern when the car will be a daily driver

Also I don't really want a car that spend most of the time at the workshop fixin things

Do it once do it right

Question why do u guys run twin fuel pumps on the surge tanks isn't one enough

Also what else can you do to make the engine to make safer

I run twins because the surge tank came with them

I think the single pump is good for 420rwkw on 98

I run only 1 pump but its not an 044 but an A 1000 aeromotive. Very quite too especially on E85.
