I am for one, able to say that the BMC CDA gives immediate performance improvements when installed. I fitted it into my stock XR6 (before the exhaust work, chip and eventually turbo) and I could feel the improvement in engine response, sort of sharper in throttle response. In terms of power increase, you should be looking at around the 10-15kw range (dynoed). Lets leave it at 10kw to be on the pessimistic side, don't wanna get flamed if someone fits one and gets less

So the verdict is, go for it! The best I've ever seen.

I am very sceptical about this type of product. 10kw dynoed you say. So that’s 30kw at the fly which is about 12% power increase. Assuming that the XR6 was not the Barra240 then say 183kw, then an extra 10kw at the wheels is about 17% increase. Smells like BS to me.

Lets see this product on the dyno, or it will go the way of snake oil and Zet turbos?

esky, I really dunno mate, what else do I need to say to sorta rescue me from falling into the "BULLsh*tTING" pits? Mate, I'm driving an AU1 XR6 and it was NA, STOCK (before recent rubocharging), when I had the CDA fitted (early 2002). So it being an auto, I was lucky to pull 104rwkw back then (dynoed it out of fun coz a 200SX-driving friend of mine wanted to dyno his), In know its low and I really dunno why that is so. After I fitted the BMC CDA, I brought it back again and I managed to see 115rwkw. No bull. The reason why I said 10-15 kw increase was coz the mechanic said he has seen higher readings when this filter was fitted on the 8s (STOCK).

Anyway, believe it or not, it ain't my problem. I don't work for BMC, not related to any Ford Dealers, no affiliated with any mod shop or anything, just a driver who wants to help out.

CJF, pictures? Sure, I've got one right here for ya! Did I say it is in carbon fibre?

BMC CDA fitted in AU1 XR6T

Enjoy!

everybody from the turbo world knows that col air induction gives at least the power gains stated here....the skyline community for starters is a - YOU MUST COLD AIR INDUCT and POD FILTER your turbos.....this looks more like a pod filter + cold air induction kit....
