seduced Need more power. Now taking donations. Member 753 Member For: 15y 10m 7d Gender: Male Posted 06/12/11 01:49 AM Share Posted 06/12/11 01:49 AM When Ford released the Territory, it proved that people wanted an SUV with space that didnt need off-road ability. They sold masses of them, and a large chunk of buyers were Falcon wagon types. As the Fairlane dies, so did the wagon and the Territory fills the void completely, hence the Turbo models FX6 etc.Expensive Daewoo would have done the same if they could have produced a decent SUV, but the Craptiva just doesn't compare to a Territory so the sportswagon had to be made to avoid losing customers. But lets face it, Falcon and Late model camira will be dead this decade, so whats it matter? I really think ford are off the ball game. I would have bought a turbo wagon if they sold one. I built a turbo ute from na. I wish I didnt listen to people and talk me out of the idea. I photo shoped heaps of ideas and they look fat just besides the taxi looking rear end.

However, its almost at the end of its useable life from my perspective and the question now is what to replace it with. Looked at the Sportswagon but it was just too small in luggage-carrying dept for our needs... Heading towards an XR5 Turbo Mondeo, with a tune and hopefully a few bucks left over for a Quaife LSD (sold the idea of safety to the missus.. he he..)Its no wagon, but I wont miss out on turbo punch and practicality.BTW utes are waay gheyer! cobramad Member 824 Member For: 19y 5m 15d Gender: Male Location: Perth Posted 11/12/11 02:00 PM Share Posted 11/12/11 02:00 PM I usually keep the car overnight and get a real-world feel of whether its up to task. Haave driven lots of VE's and still remain unimpressed. Only vehicles that are actually screwed together worse than Frauds local product. Juat too damn small in the wagon section and cheap feeling inside for me Arron..Mondeo years ahead in execution and technology but only a decent drive will tell.If I had no kids and was feeling particularly R.M.Williams-ish and Broke Back Mountain-like eg Brods.. Id buy a gheyy Ute.
