just had a dyno power run and was told my xr6t is running to lean and coming on boost to late, the shop suggested I get some bigger injectors and a custom tune, theyve qouted $1500 for a custom tune and im wondering if this is to much and should I look elsewhere?

ive bought some 60lb seimens which il put in ths w.e. what have other people paid for a custom tune?

:stupid: "General rule of thumb" double the price of the XCAL3 for a custom tune.

That said this could vary depending on a particular vehicle. hardware used, and any inherent issues found.

A big build car will obviously cost more

It may start and run if you put them in but it wont do it for long before its gonna foul the plugs.Ratter is a Pro Tuner,Listen to the man.Take them with you and fit them at the tuneshop.

Do whatever you can to find someone (very) reputable. Guys on here travel states to go to Pitlane etc, almost always great reports.

Otherwise, add another 5-8K to your "custom tune" price (to pay for a new engine after a rod explodes through the block after a dodgy tune.......which is why I still haven't tuned as I don't trust anyone in tas to do it)
