How easy is it to put on myself? Do I need a tune once it's on? what sort of difference will it make, I.e. noise, kw etc? and are there other brands that are good that I should consider? Cheap, can get 'em anywhere (even on fleabay) and they make good power. Quality can be a bit hit and miss but nothing that can't be fixed.

Obviously went much harder though..... Can't comment on the Herrod, but being the brand no doubt comes with excess $$$. The cat made it a good bit louder too. wouldn't bother with the exhaust unless bigger power is needed and then a 3" isn't what you need (which is what a stock one is on an FG not 100% sure on BF) . I don't think it changes the sound much at all.

There is little or no technology in them, its just a filter. Just get a 5inch 100cpi of the cheapest brand you can find, then you will never have to change it. EBay have them for about $170 delivered (when I nearly bought one, decided against it), venom cat I think it is.
