nope never but everyone does things different, the std flapper and port has alot of potential believe it or not but if a tuner is having troubles controlling the boost this is a good way to handle the issue but saying that I wouldnt do the flapper mod if u havent tryed a decent actuator first. 1 its way cheaper and 2 this usually can rectify the issue no question even on a stock exhaust ( minus cat) and clean the boost solinoid valve at the same time.

What ever will get rid of the spike is next on my list :) can send the turbo away for $250 wastegate done and 12lb actuator from procharge turbo!
