ooooh I have soo many united servos with e85 soo close to my place. giggity

so this may have been asked before, but how much + or - does the % have to be before you should worry. for eg if it sits at E81. or nudges E88 on your digital readout?

is there like a safe zone margin?

A question I been meaning to ask freaky..read about how bad it is to have a big difference. But yep, what is the tolerance?

how many times do u want me to say it

your tuner will tune to a safe level timing wise , a decent tuner will never push the limits of a fuel especially e85 ( on pump) when tuning so a difference of a few ethanol points will do bugger all within reason

just think of flex fuel it vary's so frikkn much its not funny how do u think they tune on that ?

one word safely yes there is such a thing

the cars compatible with eflex have an eflex fuel sensor in your fuel line which sends the reading to the pcm and the tables are adjusted on the fly.

OUR PCM CANNOT DO THIS!!!

Tuner will be able to add some safety to the tune but cannot make it bullet proof. If ethanol content is too low the car could run rich, if too high the car could run lean. You cannot fix this unless you have multiple tunes to allow for different situations.

The T's running eflex have been tuned with a larger tolerance but you wouldn't do that with e85 because you wont get the most from the fuel.

I don't think anyone has really experienced eflex to be all over the shop in Aus like it can be overseas but once they do, we will see what happens.

yup iam fully aware of this and yup eflex in aust IS ALL OVER THE PLACE and most tuners know of this and very well alow for this in the tune

remember we can gain nearly all our timing out of 50/50 mix hence why it works so well yet many tuners have a hard time dealing with it or they just dont want to leave a higher than normal risk factor for peanuts that are out there never assume hence the larger safety margin with eflex

again the digital read out is a very good way around this and it lets the tuner lean on the tune harder because its live and even dumbass can usually work it out with the big blue numbers
