My FGXR6T was tuned on Eflex.

Graph shows a direction comparison between 98 and Eflex.

Car did not leave dyno.

98 unleaded drained and 40 litres of Eflex in. Tuner waved magic wand and 45rwkw gain.

That's a lot of boost 21 lbs! to make those figures!

not uncommon for a tuner to command 100% boost up until mid range on a small turbo it makes it feel bloody quick on the street and injectors will cope until 3000rpm with the huge boost, agressive as feck tunes on the xr6t (fg) is where they dominate hence the nizpro white fg has 23psi in the mid b4 3000rpm on e85 and reeling off 11 seconds flat (stock turbo) its the best way to tune tbh

Hey guys,

I just found out I have a caltex selling e85 15min away from me being on the way to work..

Question is.. is it worth getting a tune on e85 with 75lb injectors and a single bosch 044 surge tank setup?

I am currently running 380+ on 98 at 18.5lb.

Nah the fuel is not the problem. The problem is one batch could be 80% so you have it tuned to that fuel. Then you fill up again and there is only 70% ethanol. Depending on the tune + a whole bunch of other crap you could damage the engine.

fair call..

Sounds like they have no consistency from what Ive been reading around but wasn't 100% sure if that was playing enough of a hinderence to stop ppl using it.

Would love to be living in Victoria atm though, they have united e85 everywhere by the look of it.. damn Vic's :biggun:

Haha yeah united is the way to go. Have one around the corner from my work with e85 but haven't had the car tuned to it yet.

the eflex is a good fuel for the commodores since they can check the level of ethanol in the fuel and the computer makes adjustments to the tune on the fly.

I gained about 45-50rwkw and agree this fuel is awesome.

The way the boost comes on earlier in the rev range is a big bonus..

Makes you enjoy driving the car that little bit more.

302rwkw to 351rwkw for my fg f6 with (15lbs),cat, v8 airbox and e85 fuel system setup.(process west surge/pump ,id 1000cc injectors)

United servo in Laverton tested E90.Was tuned with this, so anything less than than E90 it will just run richer.

Getting a tune done on E85 then using E70 the afr should change about 1 full point leaner.

My average economy has gone from 10lt/100km(98) to 13lt/100km.(E85)
