I'm setting up the car as a tourer really Jet so the suspension setup (bilsteins to go in soon) is not ideal for drag racing. However, it's got 275 boots and the 595 evos hook up pretty well. If I can get somewhere near 350 on e85 (currently 313 on 98) then I'll be happy and that should propel the taxi at a resonable rate.

My car is at autotech at the moment, the fuel lines are cracked on the outside (not swollen and look ok on the inside) and are being replaced with E85 compliant lines.

Have done the fuel line in the tank aswell just as a precaution. Not sure if they were cracked before but I highly doubt it as it would have been noticed when installing surge tank 6 months ago.

I've encountered the same problem...still digging some info...have been told that this is actually happening not because of e85..but because of unleaded additives.

Im not sure either mate but whilst its there its not an expensive thing to do and will give me another 100,000 klms at least.

Was your hose swollen or cracked on the inside?

Ended up going with a Gates product that is methanol and ethanol compliant, still retains a factory look.

yeah tried that and it failed!

You talking about the "barricade" gates stuff?

If so that's what failed for me!

Yeah, it's only a tiny peice but may aswell do it properly.

Autotech have used this on a few E85 cars now with no issue, one went 10.9 @125 last night.

We need to get back out there Matty, this cooler weather should be nicer on our turbos and bring our MPH up.
