Live tuning is awesome....if I had the tech skills to link the CAN bus into a Haltec Elite I would do it. There's a few things the ford system won't do that is frustrating.

So I put a new pump in my $hitbox BA and took the check valve out. Car was then horrible on cold starts. Put a new rail / injectors / reg in yesterday as well as a check valve. Car starts good again.

In short....I like check valves especially when dealing with e85.

A little off topic but I have just switched to e85 so it may be the culprit. When driving along then shift into neutral or even if I push the clutch in the revs come down as normal but then then drop very low very quickly, to the point where it stalled on me this morning. When the car is idling it's fine and even a free rev it's fine.(cold starting well so far) Cleaned the throttle body out but didn't help. Any pointers? Heading to see my tuner this arvo as only just got a retune Friday with the five-o injectors I posted ages ago. Also fitted a surge tank and fpr1200, so have a fair bit of new stuff happening at the moment.

Something I said before. Check valves made my cold start PERFECT but others didn't wanna believe me....

Sorted. Lifted idle by 75 rpm and it's like a totally different car.

What other precautionary measures should I take for running long term E70/E85 in a daily driven car?

I've done 252,000kms so far and atleast 120,000kms on Eflex/unitede85.

Plan on keeping the car for another 100,000kms at least.

I used to run the occasional 98 tune with a tank of unleaded 98 petrol, but have been getting slack recently.

All fuel lines have been replaced with Eflex hoses.

I change fuel filter regularly and run a fuel system cleaner additive to the fuel once a year.

Will long term use of water attracting E85 cause any extra damage to engine/cat or anything else I should look out for?

Yes, the ethanol content in E85 will attract water molecules and will produce more white water vapour on start up.

Was my assumption, but wanted to clarify
