As I said before used to start Instanlty and I was amazed with it. Now with another 044 & no check valve this is what happens. Will add another check valve and see what happens

Mine does a similar thing. If I hit the key when my fuel pump is buzzing it will start on the first crank. If I prime it twice it will start first crank. If I prime in once it will spin over 3 or 4 times. That's only on 98 as well.

Any tips you would like to share ratter?

I am just going to experiement making it richer and richer. Its got nothing to do with fuel pressure.Spot on..My old car with e85 ran 2x 044s and a surgie without check valves..It ALWAYS showed 50psi on the gauge in Fuel Pressure so I can guarantee it not pressure related.. its just the fuel..some tuners just write it off and say the same but u CAN get on top of it if u fiddle with crank and cold start options..I had 1 reputable tuner tune it and it was a bitch on start and he just blamed the fuel.. I told my new tuner this and we pretty much added a heap of fuel in the dead cold crank setting to sort it..(im not sure about the setting in a X-cal sorry so not sure how to do this) but in Microtech theres a % mixture at different water temps in regards to cold start enrichment.. so when it changes to the next temperature range it returns to the normal pattern which was usually about 30secs.. theres a big difference needed in this setting in regards to the 98 graph.. sorry if that's confusing but im not sure how to relate it to the Ford tuning..
