It's actually got something to do with long term use washing down the bores as it washes away the lunricants from the oil.. When I get home will find it ASAP. Yamaha also saying there is no oil that is Ethanol compliant and breaks down to quickly .

As far as I understand, there are now "ethanol approved" oils.

In regards to cars having this issue, would only have to take a leaf out of a methanol car. They run much richer afrs than any other fuel. Keen to see what kind of bore damage they sustain? Methanol is also much much more corrosive than ethanol. It is where I believe some of the fear has come from.

All Amsoil Signature Series are ethanol approved

Once phase seperation has occured, it can not be mixed again, it is a permanent state.

Probably about a dozen E85 tunes, but the problems are not short term (unless dodgy tune or incorrect parts) the problems or possible problems would occur long term
